This week was really tough. I had my birthday and told my friends they could get a cake for my actual birthday, thinking I could be content and satisfied with one small piece. I ended up eating 2 1/2 slices with ice cream piled on. It was a great cake. I had a party with angel food cake and all sorts of great food, not all program and I had many slices of the angel food cake with raspberry compot. Then at work they took me to lunch, and bought Ben & Jerry's ice cream to celebrate after...not just a pint for the office but 8. It wasn't one of my finer weeks. I am discouraged by my lack of conviction when it comes to this. And many friends were trying to be helpful but when I explained i ws disappointed in myself they said "but it's your birthday" and didn't get that the best gift I could have given myself is healthy food and activity. My lay off is also stressing me out, and I am eating more than usually do.
