WW Update: August 31 '06

This truly has been tough. Not being at work, sleeping much of last week because I didn't take my meds completely the last two weeks of being at work and the side affect is me getting lethargic and tuned out. I felt so out of it last week, just wanted to hide. And now I am in California and I thought I would eat fabulous we bough great stuff and yet I find I have been tired and also so busy. For the first few days when my parents were here I indulged a lot. And now I am just tired and eating half good and going some.

I met a guy and he is amazing. We have talked 4 nights in a row until 1 or 2. We spent one of those nights working on my resume and he submitted it at his work. it is amazing how kind some people can be. I am twitterpatted and yet tired from the late nights and also from the anxiousness of applying for jobs that are really worthy of me but at the same time my insecurity is making me question my worthiness of them. I know in my heart I am, but insecurity is a devilish thing and has lent me to eatting what little bad stuff is around or seeking out more. I am at the point of wanting to hide for a day and I am not sure why I should feel that way. Am I afraid of success soo much that I am overwhelmed? I am getting skinnier, getting my resume in great places, meeting an amazing man who has me feeling more thrill and passion for life than I have with someone in years...and probably the only time it felt truly mutual where it wasn't me inspired alone. The jobs he submitted me for are incredible. It would mean me stepping up to the plate and really shaking that doubt of myself. That is scary. All this is equalling to weight gain and not making good decisions. But I am getting motivated, I just need some time to let my head rest.

WW Update: August 16 '06

This week was really tough. I had my birthday and told my friends they could get a cake for my actual birthday, thinking I could be content and satisfied with one small piece. I ended up eating 2 1/2 slices with ice cream piled on. It was a great cake. I had a party with angel food cake and all sorts of great food, not all program and I had many slices of the angel food cake with raspberry compot. Then at work they took me to lunch, and bought Ben & Jerry's ice cream to celebrate after...not just a pint for the office but 8. It wasn't one of my finer weeks. I am discouraged by my lack of conviction when it comes to this. And many friends were trying to be helpful but when I explained i ws disappointed in myself they said "but it's your birthday" and didn't get that the best gift I could have given myself is healthy food and activity. My lay off is also stressing me out, and I am eating more than usually do.

WW Update: July 8

I wasn't planning well this week. I thought I would have the days off and would be home, instead I ended up on a boat and it was fabulous. The problem is that I ended up having to go shopping for something to wear, and food, and I didn't have the time to make something, and spent too much and so am eating whatever is cheap or available until the 14th. I have gotten much worse at this trend (being broke within days of payday). So I am going to work on changing that, thus being able to be in more control of my food. (I also weighed in on Saturday instead of Wednesday since Zen had a bday party and wow good food, and well...way not program...at least not how I ate! But fabulous!)

This week was hard. I got rejected the first time I have put myself out there in years. I went to a Storm game and found that they sell pints of ice cream and I found it easy to justify buying a pint. And the left over cookies from a client meeting almost all found their way to me. But I perservered.

The relay went amazing. I learned so much about myself. I walked 16 miles over 4 one hour walks. I did no training, so I was definitely pushing myself. I got motivated after that. Really to be dedicated and to make my goal closer and of course to make my goal. Along the way I have made other movtivators and goals as well. Short term and often not related to the scale. I realize that it is inspirational to work for a good cause and to be with good people.

WW update: May 31

This week went well. I did splurge and don't know when it will catch up with me but you know what I am ready for it. I am living how I want and accepting the consequences but I am also making good choices. I truly love being happy and love sharing that with others. Weight loss has definitely helped change my body chemistry and mental state to help me achieve that, as has the help and support I continue to get from everyone.

Two this week people I have known for so very many years told me I looked better than ever and not just weight, but happy too, and just great. And for a full week I felt great. Things got to me then rolled off. I am happy and I am not apologetic or embarassed (okay maybe a little), but I just want to share it.

WW update: May 24th

I have stopped counting the weeks, it has been about a year. It is time again for a Weight Watchers update! Things are good and I am listening to my body. I have a long way to go to meet the requirements of WW but am working on it. THe best part of everything is how supportive and encouraging people are. Everyone is so genuinely happy for me. It makes me that more excited!

WW update: Week 35

Definitely still back in the swing of things. Not having money (literally digging out the change) has made me be able to control my cravings more. So I think I will use this in the future, so as to not be as tempted in the future.

Back in the swing of things. I have been turning down desserts, not always but much more. I am being more aware of what is going in my mouth. I made a promise to journal all non-core foods this week. I need to know how many points I really am eating over core. I lost weight! But I fit into clothes and I worked out for the first time in one and 1/2 years, so those are my Non Scale Victories!!!

WW update: Week 32

I still go to weight watchers and have been struggling since my last update. I made 10% then have been struggling with the last 5 lbs of the over all 25 for several months. I am renewing my dedication, my plan, and my accountability. So here I am posting again. The last two weeks I lost. That is major. I haven't done that since the beginning of Nov (2 months ago) That is my non scale victory. But at the same token I am focusing on support and being support for others as well. I am not great at being my own cheerleader and as I figure out how to do that, I will help others and by default will help myself in the process.
